Children’s Chocolate Workshop – What to Expect

Our chocolate workshops are designed to be fun, creative, and hands-on, giving children the chance to work with real chocolate and take home several finished treats they’ve made themselves. 

1. Arrival & Set-Up

On arrival, children will:

• Put on an apron
• Wash their hands
• Add their name to their labels and decorate their bags for their finished chocolates

We begin with a short introduction, so everyone feels comfortable and excited to get started.

2. Make Chocolate Lollies (Warm-Up Activity)

Each child will make two chocolate lollies.

They will:

• Use tempered chocolate to create their pattern
• Put the lolly stick in place
• Decorate their lollies using the sprinkles and toppings

Once finished, the lollies are placed in the fridge to fully set while the group moves on to the next activity.
This is a great warm-up as it’s hands-on, exciting, and helps children gain confidence working with chocolate.

3. Make Chocolate Bark (Main Activity)

Children will create a sheet of chocolate bark.

They will:

• Spoon chocolate onto acetate or baking paper
• Spread it into a thin layer
• Decorate using a variety of sprinkles and toppings

Each bark is labelled and placed in the fridge to set, ready to be broken into pieces later.

4. Make Chocolate Discs / Medallions

To finish, children will make decorated chocolate discs.

They will:

• Spoon chocolate onto their baking sheet to form discs
• Decorate with their chosen sprinkles and toppings

These set quickly and are a fun, calm activity to end the session.

5. Packing & Wrap-Up

At the end of the workshop, children will:

• Remove their chocolates once fully set
• Break their bark into pieces
• Pack their chocolate lollies, bark pieces, and chocolate discs to take home

We finish with a short wrap-up so children leave feeling proud of what they’ve made.

What Your Child Will Take Home

Each child will leave with:

• 2 handmade chocolate lollies
• A selection of chocolate bark pieces
• A selection of decorated chocolate discs / medallions

Children’s Chocolate Making Workshop – Terms & Conditions
By booking a place on our chocolate making workshop, you agree to the
following terms and conditions:
1. Bookings & Payments
All workshop places are non-transferable and non-refundable. Once a booking
is made, it cannot be exchanged, transferred to another person, or refunded for
Workshop Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop if there are insufficient
bookings. In the event that we cancel the workshop, you will be contacted with
further details.
2. Age Requirements
This workshop is suitable for children aged 7 – 13 years. All children
participating must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The
accompanying adult must attend for the full duration of the workshop. Please
note there is no room for pushchairs or prams. Children must be able to follow
basic instructions and work safely in a kitchen-style environment
3. Allergies
Due to the nature of the workshop and ingredients used, this workshop is not
suitable for anyone with allergies. By booking, you acknowledge and accept
this risk.
4. Clothing & Personal Items
Aprons are provided, however chocolate can be messy. We recommend children
wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting chocolate on. Long hair
should be tied back. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to
personal belongings.
5. Health & Safety
Children will be guided on safe handling of chocolate and equipment. Tempered
chocolate is used, but warm chocolate is present; children are supervised at all
times. Any child behaving in an unsafe or disruptive manner may be asked to
stop an activity or, in rare cases, be withdrawn from the workshop. No refund will
be given in these circumstances.
Participants attend the workshop at their own risk and must follow all health,
safety, and hygiene instructions provided by the workshop host at all times.
Participants must take reasonable care when handling equipment, ingredients,
and hot materials. We accept no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to
personal property unless caused by our negligence. By booking, you confirm that
your child is physically able to take part in the workshop.
6. Facilities
Please note that there are no toilet facilities on site. However, a public toilet is
available nearby.
7. Photography & Marketing
We may take photographs during the workshop for marketing or social media
purposes. If you do not consent to your child being photographed, please inform
us in advance or on arrival.
8. Workshop Duration
The workshop will last approximately 60 – 90 minutes. Please be aware that
timings are approximate and the workshop may overrun or finish slightly earlier.
9. Take-Home Chocolate
All chocolate made during the workshop is intended for same-day enjoyment.
Once the chocolate has left our premises, we cannot take responsibility for
storage, melting, or breakage.
10. Agreement to Terms
By booking a place on the workshop, you confirm that you have read,
understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
